Job Summary
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing commercial interior and retail fit-out projects from site mobilization to final handover. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and client requirements. The Project Engineer coordinates with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Execution
- Execute commercial interior and retail fit-out projects as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare project execution plans, work schedules, and resource planning.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure work progresses according to the project timeline.
- Coordinate site mobilization and project setup.
2. Site Management
- Supervise civil, carpentry, gypsum, ceiling, flooring, painting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and furniture installation works.
- Ensure proper utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Conduct daily site inspections and maintain site discipline.
- Resolve technical and execution-related issues promptly.
3. Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Review construction drawings and identify discrepancies before execution.
- Ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Conduct regular coordination meetings with stakeholders.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure execution meets company quality standards and project specifications.
- Inspect completed work before client inspections.
- Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure of all observations.
- Maintain quality records and inspection reports.
5. Project Scheduling
- Prepare weekly and monthly work schedules.
- Monitor project progress against planned milestones.
- Identify delays and implement corrective actions.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
6. Material Management
- Estimate material requirements based on project drawings.
- Coordinate with the purchase and stores departments for timely procurement.
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Verify material receipts and maintain inventory records at site.
7. Cost Control
- Monitor project costs and ensure execution within approved budgets.
- Track labour productivity and subcontractor performance.
- Verify contractor bills and work measurements.
- Report cost deviations to the Project Manager.
8. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
9. Client Management
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
