About the Role
As a Master Agent with direct affiliations with 75+ prestigious global universities, we are expanding our network via a robust B2B sub-agency model. We are seeking an aggressive, well-networked, and high-energy Business Development Manager (BDM) in Hyderabad.
In this 100% on-field role, your primary responsibility will be to identify, pitch to, and empanel small-to-medium freelance overseas education consultants, coaching centers (IELTS/PTE/GRE), and local agents who have students but lack direct university tie-ups. You will enable them to process applications through our portfolio on a commission-sharing basis, ultimately driving revenue through student enrollments.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Agent Empanelment: Map the Hyderabad and Telangana market to identify freelance counselors, smaller study abroad agencies, and test-prep centers. Onboard them as official sub-agents.
- On-Field Lead Generation: Actively conduct field visits, meetings, and presentations to prospective sub-agents to pitch our 75+ university network and commission structures.
- Relationship & Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for onboarded sub-agents. Keep them engaged, updated on university requirements, and motivated to channel their applications through us.
- Revenue Generation: Own the monthly and quarterly revenue (enrollment) targets generated specifically through the sub-agent module.
- Training & Enablement: Educate empanelled agents on our partner universities' courses, eligibility criteria, admission processes, and the commission payouts.
- Market Intelligence: Stay updated on competitor commission models, market trends, and changing visa policies to keep our sub-agent program competitive.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: 4 to 5 years of core experience in the overseas education industry (Candidates with existing B2B network/agent-relations experience will be highly preferred).
- Local Market Expertise: Deep familiarity with the Hyderabad study abroad ecosystem, including key student hubs (e.g., Ameerpet, Kukatpally, Himayatnagar, Gachibowli).
- Language Skills: Fluency in Telugu and English is mandatory to effectively build trust with local consultants. Hindi is a plus.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, B2B pitching, and relationship-building skills. Must be a self-starter comfortable with working independently on the field.
- Mobility: Must possess a personal vehicle for daily field travel across Hyderabad.
