This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the day-to-day running of Voltaris's India-based operations hub. You will manage our inside sales closers, operations and admin coordinators, technology stack, and compliance workflows — ensuring seamless delivery from lead to post-installation handover.
You will be the primary point of contact between the Vadodara team and the Melbourne director, and will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and initiative. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment and has experience managing remote sales or BPO operations serving international markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Operations Management
- Oversee a team of inside sales closers working Australian residential solar leads
- Monitor daily call activity, lead pipeline, conversion rates, and KPIs via CRM (HubSpot)
- Run daily and weekly team huddles, performance reviews, and coaching sessions
- Manage shift rosters aligned to Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT)
- Work with the Melbourne director to refine scripts, objection-handling, and closing techniques
- Implement and track commission structures and bonus payouts for closers
2. Business Operations & Administration
- Oversee admin coordinators handling job bookings, customer follow-ups, and post-sale documentation
- Ensure compliance with Solar Victoria, NETCC, and CEC documentation requirements
- Manage customer records, proposal dispatch, and finance partner applications (Brighte, Plenti, Humm)
- Coordinate with Melbourne on DNSP applications (AusNet, Powercor, United Energy)
- Maintain and improve SOPs for all operational workflows
3. Technology & Systems
- Administer and optimise HubSpot CRM including pipelines, automations, and reporting dashboards
- Manage VoIP telephony platform (3CX / VoIPLine / Aircall) and ensure call quality and uptime
- Coordinate with IT and vendors for system integrations and troubleshooting
- Maintain data integrity, reporting accuracy, and team compliance with CRM entry standards
4. People Management & Culture
- Recruit, onboard, and train new inside sales and admin staff in collaboration with the director
- Conduct performance reviews, manage PIPs, and handle day-to-day HR matters
- Foster a high-accountability, high-energy team culture aligned to Voltaris values
- Serve as the senior escalation point for team issues, disputes, and operational blockers
5. Reporting & Strategy
- Prepare weekly operational reports for the Melbourne director covering sales volume, pipeline health, team performance, and operational risks
- Proactively identify process gaps and propose improvements
- Assist with hiring plans, capacity planning, and cost modelling as the team scales
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 4-7 years of experience in operations management, BPO, inside sales management, or a similar role
- Demonstrated experience managing teams of 5–20+ people in an inside sales or call centre environment
- Excellent spoken and written English — you will communicate daily with the Australian director and customers
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) and VoIP systems
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable reading dashboards, KPIs, and operational data
- Experience managing Australian, UK, or US market-facing sales operations is highly regarded
- High level of personal accountability, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously
Desirable
- Experience in the solar, energy, utilities, or home improvement sector
- Familiarity with Australian government rebate programs (Solar Victoria, STC, Cheaper Home Batteries)
- Experience with HubSpot CRM administration or implementation
- Background in working with Australian or international clients in a BPO or offshoring context
- Exposure to finance products (solar finance, BNPL, personal loans)

- Sales close rate across the team (target to be agreed based on lead volume)
- Lead-to-installation cycle time
- CRM data accuracy and pipeline hygiene score
- Team attendance, roster compliance, and attrition rate
- Operational SOP compliance rate
- Weekly report delivery and accuracy
