We are looking for an experienced CBG Expert – Construction & Project Management to lead the planning, engineering coordination, construction and commissioning of Compressed Bio-Gas plants. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery covering site assessment, technology evaluation, feedstock and process planning, civil construction, mechanical and electrical installation, procurement coordination, contractor management, statutory approvals, testing and successful plant commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead CBG projects from concept and feasibility through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Review DPRs, process designs, plant layouts, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, BOQs and construction drawings.
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, automation and utility works.
- Provide technical inputs on feedstock handling, anaerobic digestion, gas purification, compression, bottling/cascading, digestate and effluent management.
- Finalise project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, construction milestones and resource requirements.
- Evaluate CBG technologies, equipment suppliers, EPC contractors and technical-commercial proposals.
- Monitor site execution for quality, safety, cost and schedule compliance.
- Coordinate installation and commissioning of digesters, gas holders, scrubbers, compressors, purification systems, pumps, pipelines and associated utilities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements of PESO, PNGRB, CPCB/SPCB, fire authorities, factories, electrical inspectorate and other statutory bodies.
- Develop project risk registers and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Conduct construction reviews, progress meetings, contractor evaluations and project reporting.
- Lead performance-guarantee trials and ensure achievement of designed gas yield, methane purity, capacity, energy consumption and plant availability.
- Prepare SOPs, operating manuals, maintenance plans and handover documentation.
- Train plant operations and maintenance teams and support stabilisation after commissioning.
- Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, vendors, local bodies, clients and internal stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Environmental, Biogas, Energy or a related engineering discipline.
- Preferably 10–15 years of experience, including significant hands-on exposure to biogas, CBG, bio-CNG, waste-to-energy, wastewater or process-plant projects.
- Proven experience in successfully constructing and commissioning at least one CBG or large-scale biogas plant.
- Strong knowledge of anaerobic digestion, gas purification, compression systems, digestate management and plant utilities.
- Sound understanding of EPC project management, contracts, estimation, budgeting, scheduling and quality control.
- Familiarity with MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD and project-monitoring tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel and remain stationed at project sites as required.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in CBG plants using municipal organic waste, agricultural residue, press mud, cattle dung, food waste, sewage sludge or other biodegradable feedstock will be preferred.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
