Position: Head Nurse / Nurse In-Charge
Location: Umayanalloor, Kollam (1.5 km from NH66)
Role Overview
The Head Nurse is responsible for the end-to-end proactive management of the General Ward within the OP-only Primary Care Centre. The role includes overseeing and actively performing minor clinical procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the Hospital Management System (HMS), maintaining high standards of patient care and ward operations, driving continuous process improvements, and enhancing patient experience and customer satisfaction. The Head Nurse is accountable for the overall efficiency, quality, discipline, and day-to-day functioning of the General Ward while coordinating effectively with doctors, nursing staff, and administrative teams.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery)
- Candidates must have valid Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council Registration
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on clinical nursing experience
- Prior experience in a Hospital or established Clinic with daycare or in-patient services is strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of patient care, emergency handling, and ward/daycare management
- Prior exposure to team handling or supervisory responsibility is mandatory
Key Responsibilities
- Take end-to-end ownership of daily clinical department operations
- Oversee patient care and the 15-bed daycare facility — admissions, treatment, observation, and discharge
- Oversee inventory, billing entries, and patient payment plans
- Maintain accurate records and be accountable for all data entered into the Hospital Management Software
- Oversee cleanliness and housekeeping across the department
- Plan and implement new strategies and process improvements
- Prepare duty rosters and train trainees and junior staff
- Report operational issues and staff concerns to Management
Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to Branch Manager
- Directly supervises 4 nursing staff, in addition to trainees
Uniform & Professional Standards
- Medical scrubs are mandatory during duty hours
- High standards of hygiene, communication, and patient care are expected

- A 15-bed daycare facility supporting OP services
Shift Timings
- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Noon Shift: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- NO OVERNIGHT SHIFTS

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
