Job Description – New Business Development (NBD) Executive/Manager

About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented New Business Development (NBD) professional responsible for generating new business opportunities in the areas of Retail Audits, Visual Merchandising (VM), BTL Activations, Merchandising Services, and Staffing Solutions. The role requires a strong hunter mindset with the ability to identify, engage, and onboard new clients across FMCG, Consumer Electronics, Retail, Telecom, E-commerce, and Modern Trade sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and acquire new clients for Audit, Visual Merchandising, BTL Activation, Merchandising, and Staffing services.
- Generate leads through market mapping, networking, cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, referrals, and industry events.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers including HR Heads, Marketing Heads, Trade Marketing Managers, Retail Excellence Teams, and Procurement Teams.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and solution-selling discussions.
Solution Selling
- Understand client requirements and propose customized staffing and execution solutions.
- Develop commercial proposals, RFP responses, and business presentations.
- Negotiate commercials and close contracts while ensuring profitability targets.
Market Expansion
- Develop business opportunities in:
- Retail Audits
- Visual Merchandising Projects
- BTL & Trade Marketing Activations
- Merchandising Services
- Temporary & Permanent Staffing
- Field Force Deployment
- Payroll & Managed Services
Account Management
- Ensure smooth onboarding of newly acquired clients.
- Coordinate with Operations and Recruitment teams for successful project execution.
- Drive client satisfaction and identify opportunities for account growth.
Revenue & Target Achievement
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain healthy sales pipeline and accurate forecasting.
- Ensure GP margins are maintained as per company guidelines.
Desired Candidate Profile
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in Business Development/Sales.
- Prior experience in Staffing, Retail Audits, VM, BTL Activations, Merchandising, or Workforce Management industry preferred.
- Proven track record of acquiring new clients and generating revenue.
Skills
- Strong client acquisition and negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation and proposal-writing abilities.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and field-force deployment.
- Ability to independently manage the complete sales cycle.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
