Key Responsibilities
- Assist in procurement activities, including preparing Purchase Orders (POs) and supporting the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process.
- Coordinate sea freight and air freight shipments by working with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and airline cargo teams.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping documents such as Bills of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and other export/import documentation.
- Support the application and processing of Certificates of Origin through the Chamber of Commerce portal.
- Handle documentation related to Master Bill of Lading (MBL) and House Bill of Lading (HBL), ensuring timely document flow and record maintenance.
- Assist in obtaining import/export certifications required for African countries, such as ECTN, CNCA, and CBCA, as applicable.
- Support documentation under Letters of Credit (LC) / Documentary Credits (UCP 600) by ensuring compliance with shipment terms, expiry dates, partial shipments, transshipment clauses, and other requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customers to ensure smooth movement of goods and timely exchange of shipping documents.
- Follow up with customers to obtain approval of shipping documents before dispatching original documents for final processing.
- Maintain working knowledge of Incoterms, Shipping Bills, Shipping Instructions, and basic Indian customs procedures to ensure compliance.
- Track shipment status through carrier portals such as Maersk, COSCO, CMA CGM, MSC, PIL, and other shipping lines, and provide regular shipment updates.
- Coordinate internally with the Accounts team regarding debtor/creditor follow-ups, document submission, and payment status related to logistics transactions.
- Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment trackers, and documentation to ensure timely reporting and audit readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, export-import operations, or supply chain coordination.
- Knowledge of international shipping documentation and freight operations.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, and Indian customs procedures is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and shipping/tracking portals.
- Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and work within deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
