Job Summary
The System Admin is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and end-user environments. The role ensures smooth system operations, security, performance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of technical issues to support business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & System Management
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, systems, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT services.
- Manage hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, operating systems, and applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Resolve user-reported tickets within defined SLA timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and maintenance activities.
Network & Security
- Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure endpoint security, antivirus updates, and system access controls.
- Support data security and compliance practices.
Asset & Documentation Management
- Maintain IT asset inventory and system documentation.
- Track system configurations, licenses, and warranty details.
- Prepare reports related to incidents, downtime, and infrastructure status.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with internal teams to support operational requirements.
- Recommend infrastructure improvements and automation opportunities.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities from an IT perspective.
Required Skills
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructures, with a strong focus on security
- Collaborate with the IT and operations teams to deploy and optimize surveillance and POS systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance network efficiency and security.
· Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
· Basic networking and troubleshooting skills
· Understanding of servers, system administration, and IT infrastructure
· Experience with ticketing tools and remote support
· Strong problem-solving and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, CompTIA, or equivalent are an added advantage
- Relevant experience in IT support/system administration
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in System Engineering / IT Support / Infrastructure Management
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and other networking protocols.
- Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain robust on-premise and . Manage cloud networking solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Collaborate with the IT and operations teams to deploy and optimize surveillance and POS systems.
