Job Summary
The CSSD Technician will be responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, inspection, packing, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The candidate should ensure compliance with infection control policies and maintain the highest standards of patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, inspect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices.
- Prepare and pack instrument sets according to hospital protocols.
- Operate autoclaves, ETO, and other sterilization equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Maintain sterilization records, logs, and documentation accurately.
- Ensure proper storage and timely distribution of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Monitor sterilization indicators and report any equipment malfunction immediately.
- Coordinate with Operation Theatre and other clinical departments to meet instrument requirements.
- Follow infection control guidelines and hospital safety policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD department.
Eligibility
- Diploma/Certificate in CSSD Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital CSSD department.
- Freshers with relevant certification may also apply.
- Sound knowledge of sterilization processes, infection control, and biomedical waste management.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
