We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Engineer to join our civil engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing project billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements. The Billing Engineer will work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders to track project costs and facilitate timely billing. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with team members and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage project billing and invoicing, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with project managers and quantity surveyors to collect and verify project cost data.
- Monitor project expenditures and compare them with budgets to identify discrepancies.
- Generate and maintain accurate billing records, including detailed breakdowns of quantities, rates, and prices.
- Assist in the preparation of interim and final payment applications for clients.
- Review and assess contractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and validity.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and gather necessary documentation for billing.
- Provide support during project audits and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- 7-8 years of experience in billing or cost management within the construction or civil engineering industry.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Strong understanding of billing processes, contract management, and cost control.
- Proficient in billing software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, )
