A Housekeeping Manager oversees the daily cleaning operations of an establishment (like a hotel, hospital, or corporate facility). They are responsible for managing budgets, leading and training cleaning teams, and ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are continuously met to provide an exceptional guest or patient experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage the performance of housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, and public area cleaners. Create shift rotas based on occupancy trends and seasonal peaks.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, restrooms, and public spaces to guarantee they meet high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Inventory & Budget Management: Manage the departmental budget, track spending, and regularly take inventory of cleaning equipment, linen, and guest supplies. Order replacements as necessary.
- Maintenance Coordination: Report and document room damage, faults, or maintenance requests to the front office or maintenance team to ensure swift repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce organizational health and safety regulations, including bio-hazard or infection control protocols (crucial in healthcare environments).
- Guest Relations: Address and resolve any guest complaints or special requests related to housekeeping services.

Typical Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A High School diploma or GED is often the minimum requirement; a degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory or management experience in a housekeeping, custodial, or hospitality environment.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
