1) Brief About the Position / Responsibilities:
The Placement Officer plays a critical role in ensuring successful employment and apprenticeship outcomes for students from blue-collar, ITI, diploma, and vocational backgrounds. The role focuses on aligning candidate skills with suitable opportunities across EV, solar, manufacturing, MSMEs, factories, and service industries. The Placement Officer works closely with employers, candidates, alumni, and internal teams to drive high-quality placement outcomes.
2) Job Description:
· Build and maintain strong industry linkages with MSMEs, factories, OEMs, vendors, and service providers, especially in manufacturing, EV, solar, electrical, mechanical, and allied sectors.
· Identify and secure job, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training opportunities for ITI, diploma, and vocational candidates.
· Coordinate and execute campus placement drives, factory visits, job fairs, and industry interaction sessions.
· Work closely with employers hiring technicians, helpers, operators, apprentices, and entry-level shop-floor roles.
· Conduct pre-placement talks, employability workshops, and career-orientation sessions for candidates.
· Guide candidates on resume preparation, interview readiness, workplace discipline, and shop-floor etiquette.
· Organize and conduct mock interviews and basic skill-assessment activities.
· Maintain accurate placement data including employer details, candidate mapping, offer status, and joining reports.
· Prepare periodic MIS reports on placements, employer engagement, and candidate performance.
· Leverage alumni networks and local industry references to generate placement opportunities.
3) Reporting and Team:
· Reporting to: Regional Operations Head / Zonal Manager – Placement
· Team Structure: Coordination with other Placement Officers, Career Counsellors, Trainers, and Operations teams as required
4) Work Location & Language Spoken:
· Work Location: Bangalore (Kolar)
· Languages:
o English – Working proficiency
o Hindi – Working proficiency
o Kannada / Regional language – Preferred
5) Skill Set:
· Strong employer networking and relationship-management skills
· Hands-on understanding of blue-collar and technician-level hiring
· Familiarity with apprenticeship models, MSME hiring cycles, and factory recruitment processes
· Excellent communication, coordination, and follow-up skills
· Good planning, execution, and reporting abilities
· Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
· Willingness to travel locally for employer visits and placement activities
6) Grade & Salary:
· Grade: Executive / Officer Level (as per company structure)
· Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹40,000 per month (based on experience and location)
· Incentives: Performance-linked incentives applicable
7) Qualification & Experience:
· Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (any stream) / Diploma holders with strong placement experience may also be considered
· Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in placements, recruitment, staffing, or career services
· Prior experience in ITI, vocational training institutes, skill-development projects, or manpower sourcing for factories/MSMEs will be highly preferred
8) KPI / KRA (Key Performance Indicators / Key Result Areas):
· Number of candidates placed/apprenticed per quarter
· Number of active employer tie-ups (MSMEs, factories, contractors, OEMs)
· Placement conversion ratio (offers vs. joinings)
· Number of placement drives, job fairs, and employer visits conducted
· Candidate readiness and satisfaction scores
· Timely maintenance of placement MIS and reports
· Alumni engagement and referral-based placements

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
