Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Trade Finance Manager to oversee and manage international and domestic trade finance operations. The role involves handling Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), export-import documentation, supplier financing, risk assessment, and coordination with banks and financial institutions.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, banking regulations, international trade practices, and working capital management.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Finance Operations
Manage end-to-end trade finance activities including Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), Documentary Collections, and trade loans.
Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, suppliers, and customers for trade transactions.
Ensure timely processing of import/export documentation and payments.
Banking & Financial Coordination
Maintain relationships with banks and negotiate trade finance facilities.
Monitor utilization of credit limits and working capital facilities.
Support treasury and cash flow management activities.
Documentation & Compliance
Verify trade documents for accuracy and compliance with UCP 600, FEMA, RBI, and international trade regulations.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
Handle audit requirements related to trade finance transactions.
Risk Management
Assess financial and operational risks associated with trade transactions.
Minimize exposure related to foreign exchange, payment defaults, and shipment delays.
Monitor receivables and payment cycles.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare MIS reports related to trade finance activities.
Track outstanding LCs, BGs, payments, and financing costs.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
MBA / CA / CMA preferred.
Experience Required
10–15 years of experience in trade finance, banking, export-import operations, or treasury management.
Experience in manufacturing, commodity trading, agro products, business preferred.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of LC, BG, export-import documentation
Understanding of UCP 600, Incoterms, FEMA, and RBI regulations
