We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control throughout the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department.
- Allocate duties and prepare duty rosters for housekeeping staff.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of patient rooms, ICUs, OTs, OPDs, wards, laboratories, offices, waiting areas, washrooms, and all common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Monitor adherence to hospital infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
- Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical and general waste as per hospital guidelines.
- Maintain adequate stock of housekeeping materials, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
- Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, safety practices, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Coordinate with nursing, administration, maintenance, and other departments to resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
- Ensure timely reporting of maintenance issues, spillages, damages, or safety hazards.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and performance.
- Maintain housekeeping records, inspection reports, inventory registers, and daily activity reports.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and machinery.
- Handle patient and visitor complaints related to cleanliness professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH guidelines (if applicable), and statutory safety standards.
Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline (Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Housekeeping Management preferred).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of hospital housekeeping procedures, infection control practices, and biomedical waste management.
- Good leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
