Job Title: Solar Technician
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Solar Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of solar systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring consistent system performance with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems.
- Diagnose and resolve faults in solar panels, inverters, batteries, wiring, and related electrical components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they become major failures.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to maximize energy generation.
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Prepare maintenance reports, service records, and inspection documentation.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and restore system operations as quickly as possible.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in solar PV installation and maintenance (preferred).
- Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Valid driving license is an advantage.
