1. To develop a quality strategy for improving the overall performance of our electronics systems used in our products thru deployment of systems, processes and testing infrastructure at source.
2. Develop team on a thorough, in-depth understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, reflow profiles, and X-ray/AOI inspection methods. Ensure First time right NPD.
3. Establish, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliant with global industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
4. Formulate long-term and short-term organizational quality goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
5. Serve as the primary liaison for external regulatory audits, customer inspections, and certification compliance.
6. Oversee end-to-end quality protocols for electronic production lines, including Surface Mount Technology (SMT), In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and Functional Circuit Testing (FCT).
7. Lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) quality gate reviews and product design risk assessments.
8. Ensure strict adherence to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and IPC workmanship standards across the shop floor.
9. Strategize vendor evaluation and qualification via rigorous Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) frameworks.
10. Mitigate supply chain risks by driving root-cause analysis at supplier facilities for defective hardware components.
11. Conduct periodic supplier process audits to monitor CTQ (Critical-to-Quality) characteristics post-SOP.
12.Champion structured problem-solving methodologies—such as 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, and Ishikawa diagrams—to analyze line or field failures. Implement permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to minimize cost of poor quality (COPQ).
13. Drive Industry 4.0 initiatives and leverage digital analytics tools (like MES or IoT tracking) for predictive process control.
