Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, MVS, and VSAM. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting mainframe applications, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions in a healthcare domain environment. Experience with Horizon client projects will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, enhance, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, MVS, and VSAM.
* Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Perform application development, debugging, testing, and production support activities.
* Develop and optimize COBOL programs, DB2 queries, stored procedures, and batch processes.
* Create and maintain JCL jobs for application execution and scheduling.
* Work with VSAM datasets, file handling, and data management processes.
* Perform root cause analysis and resolve application issues within defined timelines.
* Collaborate with business analysts, technical teams, and offshore/onshore stakeholders.
* Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and deployment processes.
* Ensure application performance, reliability, and adherence to coding standards.
Required Skills:
* Strong hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies.
* Proficiency in COBOL programming.
* Strong knowledge of DB2 database concepts, SQL queries, and performance tuning.
* Experience working with JCL, MVS, and VSAM.
* Good understanding of Mainframe batch processing and production support.
* Experience in application maintenance, enhancements, and debugging.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
