Job Title: Quality Engineer (Production Planning & Control)
Location: Coimbatore
Experience: 2–5 Years (preferred)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards while also managing production planning and coordination. The role requires a balance of quality control expertise and production scheduling to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Identify defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation
- Handle customer complaints and ensure proper resolution
- Work closely with production teams to improve quality processes
Production Planning & Coordination:
- Plan and schedule production activities based on orders and capacity
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and production teams for material availability
- Monitor production progress and ensure timely delivery
- Optimize production workflow and reduce delays
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Ensure efficient utilization of manpower and machines
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of quality control processes and tools
- Understanding of engineering drawings and measurements
- Experience with inspection tools (Vernier, Micrometer, etc.)
- Good planning and organizational skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Basic knowledge of ERP/software for production tracking (preferred)
Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing industry
- Familiarity with ISO standards and documentation
