As the Director, Core Operations Domain Architect for the Third-Party Logistics (3PL) domain, you will be the strategic group owner of all architectural artifacts across Fulfillment, Transportation, Warehouse Management, and Order Management capabilities. Acting as a senior contributor, your mission is to define and communicate a clear architectural vision, ensuring alignment between current-state assessments and future-state aspirations. You will begin by evaluating the existing architecture across North American business units and develop a scalable, group-wide reference architecture. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the target architecture and roadmap for each business unit, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and technology harmonization across the enterprise.Key Responsibilities: Strategic IT Steering Develop a group north star architecture for the core operations domain within our 3PL business unit Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture roadmap for the 3PL domain aligned with corporate strategy (starting with North America and expanding to the rest of the group) Design and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and high-performance target-state architectures. Ensure architectural alignment with long-term business goals and transformation initiatives. Architecture Governance Lead governance processes for technology selection, solution design, and regulatory compliance (e.g., data protection, AI regulations). Establish review mechanisms to ensure adherence to architectural standards and business requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration Collaborate with executive leadership, IT teams, and business units to translate strategic objectives into actionable IT solutions. Present architectural recommendations, progress updates, and migration strategies to senior stakeholders. Manage relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors to ensure alignment and value delivery. Collaboration with the group architecture team to ensure enterprise standards, frameworks, and best practices are consistently applied across domains and 3PL architecture initiatives are aligned with broader enterprise blueprints Technology Enablement Provide architectural leadership for major transformation programs including warehouse and transport capabilities rationalization and modernization Technology Advisory Offer expert guidance on emerging technologies, digital innovation, and integration strategies. Identify opportunities for leveraging new tools and platforms to enhance business capabilities and agility.
