Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Steel Detailer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in steel detailing, with a focus on pre-engineered buildings and mezzanine structures. As a Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed drawings for fabrication and construction, utilizing industry-standard software and adhering to project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed shop drawings, erection plans, and material lists for pre-engineered buildings and mezzanine structures.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to accurately model steel components.
- Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with fabrication and construction teams to address any design-related issues and provide timely support.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices to continuously improve processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in steel detailing, with a focus on pre-engineered buildings and mezzanine structures.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software AutoCAD and similar detailing software.
- Strong understanding of structural steel design principles and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings within tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with project management software and familiarity with building codes and regulations is a plus.
