Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible IT Engineer to manage and support the school’s IT infrastructure, hardware, software, networking, and day-to-day technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain computers, laptops, printers, projectors, CCTV, Digital Boards and other IT equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and connectivity-related issues.
- Install, configure and maintain operating systems, applications and software.
- Provide technical support to teachers, administrative staff and management.
- Manage LAN/Wi-Fi networks, internet connectivity and basic network troubleshooting.
- Monitor and maintain CCTV/DVR systems and other security-related IT equipment.
- Handle backups and ensure data is properly maintained.
- Coordinate with external IT vendors/service providers whenever required.
- Maintain records of IT assets, repairs and technical issues.
- Provide support for school management systems, applications and other digital platforms.
- Ensure smooth functioning of IT infrastructure during school activities and events.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance of IT equipment.
- Follow IT security, data protection and backup procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Diploma in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
- Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, printers and basic troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and CCTV/DVR systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to technical issues.
- Experience in a school/educational institution will be an added advantage.
