Position Overview
We are seeking an accomplished, visionary, and result-oriented General Manager to lead our prestigious banquet hall. As the senior-most executive of the organization, the General Manager will serve as the face of the business, responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening the brand, ensuring operational excellence, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and maximizing profitability.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, business development, and relationship management skills, with extensive experience in the hospitality, banquet, hotel, or event management industry. The role requires a strategic leader who can inspire teams, build lasting client relationships, and establish the banquet hall as the preferred venue for weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Growth & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Lead all sales initiatives for weddings, corporate events, social functions, conferences, exhibitions, and private celebrations.
- Establish annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue targets and ensure their achievement.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
- Expand corporate clientele and build long-term business relationships.
Leadership & Management
- Provide strategic leadership to all departments, including Sales, Operations, Events, Administration, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Customer Service.
- Build a high-performance, customer-centric culture.
- Recruit, mentor, motivate, and develop departmental heads and employees.
- Foster accountability, discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary representative and ambassador of the banquet hall.
- Build relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, event organizers, government agencies, influencers, and business associations.
- Personally engage with VIP clients and ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Resolve high-value customer concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
Operations & Guest Experience
- Ensure flawless execution of every event while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Oversee venue presentation, hospitality standards, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction.
- Continuously improve operational efficiency and service excellence.
Brand Development & Marketing
- Enhance the market reputation and visibility of the banquet hall.
- Collaborate with marketing agencies and digital teams to increase brand awareness and lead generation.
- Represent the organization at industry events, exhibitions, networking forums, and promotional activities.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, licensing, fire safety, health, labour, GST, and local authority regulations.
- Implement policies to safeguard company assets and reputation.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- More than 5 years of progressive leadership experience in banquet halls, hotels, hospitality, luxury events, or premium service businesses.
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
- Strong business acumen with excellent financial understanding.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, presentation, and networking skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients and stakeholders.
- Strong decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
