Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Assistant to support the Technical and Maintenance team in maintaining vessel-wise technical records, monitoring maintenance activities, coordinating drydocking requirements, and ensuring timely closure of technical and survey-related works.
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of mechanical/electrical maintenance, good documentation and coordination skills, and a working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel. Fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn are welcome to apply
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain vessel-wise technical and maintenance records, including PM, CM, breakdown, and service reports.
- Update and monitor maintenance trackers, pending works, and job closure status.
- Follow up on IRS/Class survey comments and coordinate for timely closure.
- Prepare and finalize the scope of works for vessel drydocking in coordination with technicians and engineers.
- Identify required materials and spares for drydocking works and closely follow up with procurement for timely availability.
- Coordinate with technicians, engineers, vessel crew, and vendors to collect technical information and documentation.
- Collect and maintain service reports, inspection reports, test reports, photographs, and other technical documents.
- Prepare vessel-wise spare parts lists for handover in coordination with other departments.
- Prepare material requirement lists, technical reports, and MIS reports.
- Maintain equipment records, certificates, inspection documents, and maintenance history.
Required Skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and datasheets.
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and attention to detail.
Candidate Profile
- Freshers are welcome.
- Maximum 2 years of experience in maintenance, shipbuilding, marine, manufacturing, or engineering documentation.
- Candidate should have good technical aptitude, be organized, proactive, and willing to learn and take responsibility.
Work Location: Kalamaserry , Kochi
Salary Offered: ₹18,000 – ₹25,000 per month, based on experience and qualifications.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
