Job Title: IB Grade 2 Teacher
Location: Main Campus, Vattinagyulapally, Near Gachibowli, Hyderabad
Role:
The IB Grade 2 Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). The role involves fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and personal development of students while encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum for Grade 2 students.
- Create a stimulating, student-centered classroom environment that promotes inquiry and exploration.
- Develop students' literacy, numeracy, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Integrate transdisciplinary learning experiences and real-world connections into classroom instruction.
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment strategies.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster the development of IB learner profile attributes and international-mindedness.
- Maintain accurate academic records, portfolios, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, coordinators, and support staff to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth.
- Participate actively in school events, professional development programs, and IB-related initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
- B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
- IB PYP experience or training is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience, preferably in primary grades.
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with children and fostering a positive learning culture.
- Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
