Job Description :
Cloud Financial Management :-
- Manage and optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Conduct recurring cloud spend reviews, identify cost anomalies, and implement cost saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain cost allocation structures, tagging standards, and financial governance models.
- Lead the adoption of cost optimization techniques such as rightsizing, autoscaling, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and storage lifecycle management.
FinOps Governance & Strategy :-
- Build and mature the organization’s FinOps practice, processes, and governance frameworks.
- Define and run chargeback/showback models and ensure cost accountability across teams.
- Partner with engineering, finance, and leadership teams to drive cloud budgeting and forecasting.
- Create and maintain playbooks, best practices, and financial operational guidelines.
Reporting & Forecasting :-
- Prepare monthly/quarterly cloud financial reports and executive dashboards.
- Own cloud cost forecasting, budget variance analysis, and unit economics modeling.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, data driven manner.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :-
- Work closely with engineering teams to influence cost-aware architecture and deployments.
- Serve as the primary FinOps advisor to product, finance, and operations teams.
- Conduct training sessions to promote a FinOps culture across the organization.
Automation & Tooling
- Use tools like Cloud Health, Cloud ability, Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Datadog, Grafana, etc.
- Automate reporting, alerting, and anomaly detection using Python, Power BI, Excel, or cloud-native tools.
- Contribute to building internal FinOps dashboards and automation workflows.
