Job Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, cash handling, banking transactions, statutory compliance support. The role also includes maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of payments and receipts, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting management with financial reports and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions using Tally/ERP and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain vouchers, invoices, receipts, payment records, and other accounting documents.
- Process vendor payments, customer receipts, and maintain proper accounting and filing systems.
- Manage daily cash receipts, cash payments, petty cash, and ensure safe custody of cash, cheques, and financial documents.
- Perform daily cash verification, petty cash management, and reconciliation of cash books, bank accounts, and ledger accounts.
- Handle all banking activities, including cash and cheque deposits, withdrawals, cheque preparation, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS transactions, Demand Draft (DD) requests, and coordination with banks for account-related matters.
- Weekly reconcile bank transactions and resolve discrepancies, if any.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing activities.
- Maintain records and documentation related to GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax, ROC, and other statutory compliances.
- Maintain financial records, statutory registers, and compliance-related documentation in an organized manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
- Perform any other accounts, finance, cashier, banking, or administrative responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, cashier, and banking operations.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax, and ROC compliance will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in cash handling and bank reconciliation.
- Good understanding of banking procedures and statutory compliance.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Willingness to travel locally for official work related to banks, auditors, and government offices.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
