Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our back-office engineering team in Trivandrum, supporting construction projects based in Muscat, Oman. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical design and MEP coordination for building construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical system designs for construction projects.
- Develop detailed design drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Perform heat load calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
- Review project specifications, BOQs, tender drawings, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and electrical departments for smooth project execution.
- Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, international standards, and client specifications.
- Provide technical support and clarifications to project and site teams.
- Prepare technical submittals and maintain drawing revisions/documentation.
- Coordinate regularly with the Muscat head office regarding project progress and updates.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned design tasks and submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/MEP design within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
- Experience in building construction projects is mandatory.
- Familiarity with GCC/Oman standards will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in commercial, residential, or high-rise building projects.
- Knowledge of MEP coordination and clash detection.
- Strong understanding of international engineering standards and practices.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
