We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to accurately translate written and verbal content between Chinese and English. The ideal candidate will possess excellent language proficiency, cultural awareness, and the ability to maintain the original meaning, tone, and intent of the source material.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents, reports, emails, manuals, marketing materials, and other content from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Interpret spoken communication during meetings, conferences, and business discussions when required.
- Review and proofread translated content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.
- Adapt translations to suit cultural and regional contexts while preserving the original message.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and terminology.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and documents.
- Build and maintain translation glossaries and terminology databases.
- Meet project deadlines while delivering high-quality translations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Language, English Language, or a related field.
- Native or near-native proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
- Proven experience as a translator, interpreter, or in a similar language-related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and translation tools/software.
