Role: Business Development Executive
Location: Kollam, Kerala
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, result-oriented Business Development Executive to spearhead our growth initiatives in the Kollam region. In this role, you will be the driving force behind expanding our market footprint, institutional sales, and strategic partnerships. If you are a proactive go-getter with a passion for education technology and a knack for closing deals, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Revenue & Growth: Proactively identify, pitch to, and acquire new institutional clients, including schools, colleges, and other educational organizations across Kollam.
- Strategic Partnerships: Build, nurture, and maintain robust, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (Principals, Directors, Trustees) in the education sector.
- Product Consulting: Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations that clearly articulate the value proposition of our offerings to prospective clients.
- Pipeline & Lead Management: Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize lead generation funnels and turn marketing-qualified leads into closed deals.
- Exceed Sales Targets: Own the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to negotiation and closing—to consistently meet and exceed monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, track competitor activities, and gather direct client feedback to help our product team shape future innovations.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline updates, and performance metrics via regular reporting.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in B2B sales, corporate sales, or business development. Prior experience in the Ed-Tech or education sector is highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Strong negotiation, consultative selling, and relationship-management skills, backed by exceptional presentation abilities.
- Work Style: A self-motivated individual who can work independently in the field while seamlessly collaborating with the central team.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Malayalam and English is mandatory for effective local stakeholder management.
Pay: ₹20,530.93 - ₹24,902.12 per month
