JOB SUMMARY:
A Team member of the Trademark department contributes to the execution of trademark-related tasks under the supervision of the Head of Trademark and the Lead Trademark. This role involves supporting brand clearance, prosecution, new brand registration, trademark renewal, litigation, and domain name misuse activities. The team member plays a proactive role during outdoor seizure operations in case of misuse of a brand logo by Infringer.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Head of Trademark in developing and implementing trademark, Copyright & design strategies, policies, and procedures
- Conduct trademark, Copyright & design searches, and clearance activities to assess brand name availability and potential infringement risks
- Prepare and file trademark applications, domain name, and copyright applications ensuring compliance with legal requirements
- Monitor trademark, Copyright & design renewals and coordinate necessary actions for maintenance
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on trademark, Copyright & design litigation matters
- Assist in managing trademark dispute/court litigation& domain name misuse cases and implementing protective measures
- To read and report violations of sections of Trademark regulations and manual provisions to higher-ups
- To report communication from Marketing and other departments to the Head for faster processing
- Achieve departmental goals, and priorities, and ensure effective resource utilization while leading and managing a team
- Work to put into effect trademark strategies, policies, and procedures that are in line with the goals of the organization
- Bring to the notice of the head any trademark violation requiring their intervention
- Guide the team on legal procedures
