The Global Risk & Compliance Organization (GRC) is an independent risk management function, led by the Chief Risk Officer, with the objective of ensuring that American Express operates in a safe, sound, and fully compliant manner with all applicable regulatory expectations.
The Enterprise Conduct Risk Management team within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for identifying and managing conduct risk across all processes and geographies at American Express.
The Director, Conduct Risk Management Data Analytics will be part of the GRC organization and will report to the Vice President, Conduct Risk Management. The successful candidate will lead a team of high performing managers and analysts and will be responsible for performing advanced data analytics to identify, measure, monitor, and report on conduct risks. This role is critical in providing independent oversight and challenge on conduct risk program across the enterprise, with a focus on ensuring behaviors and processes align with regulatory expectations and company’s Risk Appetite. We are seeking an experienced people leader to be a part of this exciting journey.
This position requires a strong enterprise risk mindset, sound judgment, analytical capability, and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively. The individual must be able to connect individual risk events and control weaknesses to broader customer, colleague, regulatory, and enterprise impacts.
