We are building a team around a Senior Software Engineer, Java Cloud (AWS) to create secure, scalable Java web services in a cloud-first environment. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance Java web services
-
Coordinate with front-end developers to ensure seamless web service integration in web applications
-
Build RESTful APIs that ensure smooth communication between client-side and server-side applications
-
Maintain robustness, reliability, and security of web services through best practices and standards
-
Improve performance and scalability through caching, load balancing, and database optimization
-
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
-
Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards
-
Stay informed on the latest Java and web services technologies and trends
Requirements
-
Extensive 6-8 years of IT experience, with at least 6 years of strong proficiency in Java
-
Good understanding of web services engineering, including RESTful APIs
-
Hands-on background with Spring Boot for building and deploying web services
-
Strong expertise in security practices, including Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization
-
Working experience with SQL queries and stored procedures, plus Hibernate and other ORM frameworks
-
Solid ability to use Linux commands for development and operational tasks
-
Strong knowledge of web security concepts and best practices
-
Proficiency with version control tools such as Git and ADO
-
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)

Ability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Strong ability to collaborate and communicate within a team setting

English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Knowledge of Angular

Experience with microservices architecture

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes

Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
