About Us
Devkrishna Trucking is an authorized BharatBenz dealership handling Sales, Service, and Parts for Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV). We're growing our workshop operations and looking for a hands-on Floor Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities on the service floor.
Role Overview
The Floor Supervisor will oversee daily workshop operations, manage technician teams, and ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and to BharatBenz quality standards — acting as the bridge between the Service Manager, Service Advisors, and workshop staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of technicians and helpers on the workshop floor
- Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill level and job card priority
- Monitor repair/service progress and ensure adherence to standard time and quality norms
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and safety protocols in the workshop
- Conduct quality checks on completed jobs before vehicle handover
- Coordinate with Service Advisors and Parts department for timely job completion
- Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness (5S), and organized bay management
- Track technician attendance, productivity, and job efficiency
- Escalate technical issues or delays to the Service Manager
- Support training and on-the-job guidance for junior technicians
- Maintain records of job cards, warranty jobs, and service documentation
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in a commercial vehicle workshop, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong technical knowledge of truck/commercial vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electrical)
- Experience with BharatBenz, Tata, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, or similar CV brands preferred
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Basic computer skills (DMS knowledge is a plus)
- Willingness to work at the workshop location in Supaul
