Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Technical Support
- Assist doctors and nurses during emergency procedures such as resuscitation, intubation, suturing, and trauma care
- Prepare and maintain emergency equipment (defibrillator, ventilator, suction apparatus, monitors, etc.)
- Perform basic diagnostic procedures such as ECG, sample collection, and point-of-care testing
- Ensure readiness of crash cart and emergency drugs at all times
Patient Care Support
- Assist in triaging patients under supervision
- Provide basic life support (BLS) and assist in advanced life support (ALS)
- Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities immediately
- Support patient transfer within hospital (ICU, OT, wards)
Infection Control & Safety
- Follow infection control protocols and biomedical waste management guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of emergency equipment and environment
- Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain accurate records of procedures, consumables, and equipment usage
- Assist in maintaining emergency registers and logs
- Coordinate with lab, radiology, and other departments for urgent investigations
