Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Estimation Engineer with experience in solar power projects to join our team in Angamaly. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, coordinating with procurement and engineering teams, and supporting project bidding and execution activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for solar EPC projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Estimate material, labor, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to obtain required inputs.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals and tender documentation.
- Evaluate vendor quotations and support procurement activities.
- Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Maintain estimation databases and cost records.
- Support project planning and budgeting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in solar power or renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical components, and EPC project execution.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools/software.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in utility-scale or commercial solar projects.
- Knowledge of tendering and contract documentation.
- Familiarity with project costing, budgeting, and procurement processes.
