Key Responsibilities:
1. CNC Programming:
Develop CNC programs for VMC machines using G-code / CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360).
Optimize machining parameters for precision, surface finish, and tool life.
Modify and debug programs during production.
2. Machine Setup & Operation:
Set up fixtures, tools, and work offsetsfor VMC machining.
Perform machining of:
Aluminium alloys (6061, 7075)
Titanium alloys
Stainless steel
Inconel / superalloys
Operate machines while maintaining micron-level tolerances.
3. Blueprint & CAD Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.
Understand critical dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
Perform in-process inspection using:
Vernier calipers
Micrometers
Height gauges
Bore gauges
Dial indicators
5. Tooling & Process Optimization:
Select proper cutting tools, inserts, and holders.
Implement tool path optimization to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Troubleshoot machining issues like:
Tool wear
Vibration
Surface defects
6. Documentation:
Maintain process sheets, setup sheets, and inspection reports.
Follow Defence and space manufacturing documentation procedures.
Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and production validation.
7. Safety & Compliance:
Follow shop safety practices and manufacturing standards.
Ensure proper handling of sensitive components and materials.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of CNC machining and VMC operations
Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance)
Experience with CAM software
Knowledge of aerospace materials machining
Ability to maintain tight tolerances (0.01 mm or better)
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
