Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Primary English Teacher to teach students from Classes 1 to 5. The candidate should be skilled in developing students’ foundational reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills in English through creative and engaging teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective English language lessons aligned with the school curriculum for Classes 1–5.
- Develop students’ reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, phonics, and communication skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, teaching aids, and classroom activities.
- Conduct regular assessments, tests, and evaluations to track student progress.
- Use interactive teaching methods such as storytelling, role plays, phonics activities, and group discussions.
- Maintain student records, progress reports, and classroom documentation.
- Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Encourage students to participate in English-related activities such as reading programs, storytelling, and competitions.
- Communicate with parents regarding student performance and improvement areas.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in English / Education / related field.
- B.Ed / D.El.Ed / TTC preferred.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage young learners effectively.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Creative and activity-based teaching approach.
- Basic computer knowledge for preparing lesson plans and reports.
Experience
- 0–3 years of teaching experience in primary classes preferred.
- Freshers with strong English communication and teaching passion may also apply.
Additional Information
- Candidates with phonics teaching experience will be preferred.
- Should be patient, enthusiastic, and passionate about teaching young children.
