Position Title: Purchase Engineer-cum-Stores Executive
Department: Purchase & Stores
Location: Factory Location – Elevate Parking Systems LLP Village Bhandarli, Mumbra Panvel Road, Shil
Reporting To: Factory Head / Operations Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Purchase Engineer-cum-Stores Supervisor is responsible for efficient procurement of raw materials, components, and services while ensuring proper receipt, storage, inventory control, and issuance of materials to support uninterrupted production and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase & Procurement
- Identify, develop, and maintain reliable vendors for raw materials, bought-out items, fabrication, machining, electrical components, and services.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, RFQs, comparative statements, and purchase orders as per company procedures.
- Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and quality requirements to achieve cost optimization.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials in line with production plans and project schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Accounts departments for technical clarifications and approvals.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and service.
- Handle follow-ups for pending purchase orders and expedite critical materials.
Stores & Inventory Management
- Supervise receipt of materials, ensure quantity and quality verification as per purchase orders and drawings.
- Maintain proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials, spares, and consumables.
- Ensure accurate stock entries in ERP / inventory registers (GRN, issue, return, rejection).
- Control inventory levels, monitor slow-moving / non-moving items, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices where applicable.
- Issue materials to production against authorized requisitions.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain all purchase and stores-related records, including POs, GRNs, inspection reports, and inventory registers.
- Support internal and external audits (ISO / statutory / customer audits).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety norms, and standard operating procedures.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with production planning for material availability.
- Provide MIS reports on procurement status, inventory levels, consumption, and shortages.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Experience:
- 4–8 years of experience in purchase and stores functions in a manufacturing / engineering industry.
- Experience in handling steel, fabricated parts, mechanical & electrical components is desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and inventory control.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Negotiation and vendor management skills.
- ERP / inventory software proficiency (SAP / Tally / similar systems preferred).
- Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
- Analytical approach with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a factory environment.

Pay: ₹10,837.22 - ₹37,272.62 per month
