Job Summary:
Felix Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced Assistant Medical Superintendent (AMS) / Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS) to support medical administration, ensure smooth clinical operations, maintain regulatory compliance, and coordinate effectively between doctors, nursing staff, and hospital management.
Key Responsibilities: Medical Administration
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily hospital medical operations
- Ensure implementation of hospital policies, protocols, and clinical guidelines
- Coordinate with department heads to maintain quality patient care
Clinical Coordination
- Act as a bridge between doctors, nursing staff, and management
- Monitor clinical performance and patient safety standards
- Support doctors in resolving operational or administrative issues
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure NABH / statutory compliance and documentation
- Participate in audits, inspections, and accreditation activities
- Maintain medical records and adherence to ethical practices
Patient Care & Safety
- Handle patient grievances and ensure timely resolution
- Monitor patient satisfaction and service quality
- Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed
HR & Team Management
- Assist in medical staff scheduling and duty rosters
- Support recruitment, induction, and training of medical staff
- Promote teamwork and professional discipline
Qualifications:
- MBBS / BAMS / BHMS – Mandatory
- MHA (Master in Hospital Administration) – Well and good / Preferred
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in hospital administration or medical management
- Experience as AMS / DMS / Medical Officer with administrative exposure preferred
- Exposure to NABH standards and hospital operations will be an added advantage
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and coordination skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of hospital systems, clinical workflows, and healthcare regulations
- Ability to handle pressure and multitask effectively
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
