To lead and manage SMT production operations, ensuring achievement of production, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and safety targets while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across SMT lines.
- Lead end-to-end SMT production operations, including Solder Paste Printing, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow, AOI, X-Ray and related processes.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets in line with customer requirements.
- Drive key production KPIs such as OEE, rejection, rework, downtime, changeover time, and productivity.
- Plan manpower, machines, materials, and capacity to meet production requirements.
- Monitor and improve SMT line utilization, cycle time, line balancing, and throughput.
- Drive reduction of machine downtime, process losses, material wastage, and production bottlenecks.
- Ensure effective model changeover and line setup to minimize changeover losses.
- Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, IE, Planning, Materials, NPI, and Engineering teams to resolve production issues.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans, ESD standards, 5S, and safety requirements.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production and process issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Ensure effective utilization and development of production manpower through training, skill matrix, and performance monitoring.
- Support NPI/new product introduction, process trials, line qualification, and production ramp-up.
- Monitor production losses and implement action plans to improve OEE and line efficiency.
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure preventive and predictive maintenance of SMT equipment.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and applicable quality standards.
- Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives across SMT operations.
- Prepare and review daily/monthly MIS and present production performance to senior management.
- Develop a culture of ownership, accountability, quality consciousness, and continuous improvement within the production team.

- Experience in automotive electronics / EMS / PCBA manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong experience in managing multiple SMT lines and large production teams.
- Should have experience in driving OEE improvement, productivity, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
