We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Privacy Consultant to support the design, implementation, and management of data privacy and compliance initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of global privacy regulations, data protection principles, and information security practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business, legal, and technology teams.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on privacy governance, compliance assessments, privacy-by-design initiatives, and regulatory compliance programs while helping organizations manage privacy risks and build trust in data handling practices.
- Support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of data privacy programs aligned with regulations such as GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, and other applicable privacy frameworks.
- Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), and privacy gap assessments.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles into systems, applications, and business processes.
- Assist in identifying privacy risks and recommend appropriate technical and organizational controls to mitigate them.
- Draft, review, and maintain privacy policies, notices, consent frameworks, procedures, and compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external audits related to privacy, information security, and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27701.
- Participate in vendor privacy assessments and third-party risk reviews.
- Monitor evolving privacy regulations and industry best practices, providing guidance on compliance requirements.
- Maintain privacy records, evidence repositories, and governance documentation.
- Support awareness programs and training initiatives to promote a privacy-conscious culture across the organization.
- Assist in managing data subject rights requests, breach response activities, and privacy-related investigations as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, Information Security, Risk Management, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations including GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, and global data protection principles.
- Familiarity with privacy governance processes such as DPIA, PIA, ROPA, consent management, and data lifecycle management.
- Basic understanding of data flows, cloud environments, security controls, and enterprise technology ecosystems.
- Knowledge of information security concepts and risk management methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across legal, technology, security, and business teams.
