Position: Assistant Professor / Faculty – Hardware & Networking
Department: Computer Science / Information Technology

Reporting To: HOD / Dean – Computer Science & IT
Job Summary
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Hardware & Networking Faculty to deliver high-quality classroom and practical instruction in computer hardware, networking, system administration, and related IT technologies. The candidate will be responsible for teaching, laboratory activities, student mentoring, and contributing to departmental academic and institutional activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Academics
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on Computer Hardware, Networking, Operating Systems, Network Security, and System Administration.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, quizzes, and practical exercises.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed syllabus.
- Conduct and evaluate internal assessments, practical examinations, assignments, and projects.
- Use innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enabled learning.
2. Practical & Laboratory Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on laboratory sessions related to:
- Computer assembly and troubleshooting
- LAN/WAN configuration
- Network devices and protocols
- Routers, switches, and access points
- IP addressing and subnetting
- Network security and troubleshooting
- Windows/Linux system administration
- Maintain and monitor networking and hardware laboratory equipment.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of lab infrastructure.
3. Student Mentoring & Development
- Mentor students and provide academic and technical guidance.
- Support students in projects, internships, certifications, competitions, and placements.
- Conduct workshops, technical training sessions, and industry-oriented activities.
- Encourage students to pursue relevant professional certifications.
4. Departmental Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, workshops, seminars, and events.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic documentation.
- Maintain required academic records and reports.
- Participate in NAAC/NBA/academic audit and other institutional activities as assigned.
- Coordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary technical activities.
5. Research & Professional Development
- Encourage and undertake research in areas such as computer networks, cybersecurity, cloud networking, IoT, network infrastructure, and system administration.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals/conferences.
- Stay updated with emerging networking and IT technologies.
Required Qualifications
- M.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a relevant discipline.
- NET/Ph.D. will be preferred as per applicable UGC/AICTE norms.
- Relevant industry certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge and teaching aptitude may apply.
- 1–5 years of teaching/industry experience in Hardware & Networking will be preferred.
- Candidates with relevant industry experience and professional certifications will be given preference.
