Job Title: Catering Kitchen AssistantJob Summary
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Kitchen Assistant to support daily catering kitchen operations. The candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation, cleaning, ingredient handling, packing, and maintaining hygiene standards for weddings, banquets, and large-scale catering events.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation, cutting, washing, peeling, and basic cooking tasks
- Clean vegetables, fruits, meat, seafood, and other ingredients as instructed
- Support in preparing gravies, sauces, salads, snacks, desserts, and buffet items
- Arrange, pack, and label food items for transportation to event venues
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, storage areas, and floors
- Wash dishes, vessels, trays, crockery, and kitchen tools
- Assist in loading and unloading food, groceries, and kitchen equipment
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and maintain FIFO practices
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Dispose of waste properly and keep kitchen areas organized
- Support banquet and live counter teams during large events when required
- Report shortages, damaged items, or kitchen issues to supervisors
- Assist with setup and cleanup before and after events
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in kitchen, catering, hotel, restaurant, or banquet operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of kitchen work, food preparation, and hygiene practices
- Ability to work long hours during weddings, events, and peak seasons
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials when required
- Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
