Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Designer to develop electrical designs and engineering drawings for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. The Electrical Designer will work closely with engineers, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to prepare accurate design documents, ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and support project execution from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or Revit. Develop power distribution, lighting, grounding, cable routing, and control system designs. Produce single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, and bill of materials (BOM). Perform electrical load calculations and cable sizing in accordance with relevant standards. Coordinate with mechanical, civil, instrumentation, and process engineering teams to ensure integrated project designs. Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and client specifications. Review vendor drawings and incorporate approved information into project documentation.Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project coordination activities. Support site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting by providing technical assistance when required. Maintain design documentation, revision control, and project records. Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2–8 years of experience in electrical design for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit MEP, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software. Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems. Familiarity with IEC, NEC, IEEE, IS, or other applicable electrical standards. Strong understanding of electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
