A Senior Accountant manages complex accounting operations, drives the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensures financial compliance. They analyze financial data, perform general ledger reconciliations, and mentor junior staff to support executive decision-making and uphold corporate financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- General Ledger: Reconcile balance sheet and inter company accounts, prepare journal entries, and manage accruals and prepayments.
- Month/Year-End Close: Lead the close process to ensure all financial data is accurate, reconciled, and delivered on schedule.
- Compliance & Audits: Ensure full compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Coordinate and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
- Leadership: Review the work of junior accountants and bookkeepers, delegate tasks, and assist in team development.
Essential Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CMA designation preferred).
- Experience: 3+ to 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a strong eye for detail.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
