1. Estimation & Design Engineer – Compact Substation, LT (PCC/MCC)/HT VCB Panel Location: Govindpura Industrial Area, Bhopal (M.P.) Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering Experience: Minimum 3-4 Years in Estimation & Design (Electrical Panel/Substation Industry) Job Summary The Estimation & Design Executive is responsible for the complete lifecycle of electrical panel design and cost estimation. This role involves transforming customer specifications and Single Line Diagrams (SLD) into detailed technical designs and accurate commercial proposals for MCC (Motor Control Centre), PCC (Power Control Centre), and HT VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breaker) panels Key Responsibilities Technical Design & Drafting: - Create detailed General Arrangement (GA) drawings, wiring schematics, and system architectures required in HT VCB Panel, EHV Control & Relay Panel using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or EPLAN. - Cost Estimation & BOQ: Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost estimates by analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs. - Component Selection: Select appropriate switchgear (ACBs, MCCBs, Contactors, Relays) from leading brands like L&T, Schneider Electric, or ABB based on project requirements. - Technical Calculations: Perform essential calculations for busbar sizing, short-circuit levels, and heat dissipation. - Tender Management: Review tender documents, prepare technical bid submissions, and respond to pre-bid queries from clients or consultants. - Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to IEC/IS standards (e.g., IEC 61439 for LV switchgear). - Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with sales teams for client inquiries and production teams for design handover and manufacturing support Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and Estimation: 1. Develop detailed electrical schematics and layout drawings for HT VCB Panels and EHV & MV Control Relay Panels using AutoCAD. 2. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for customer orders. 2. Bill of Material (BOM) Creation: 1. Create customer-specific BOMs for offers and detailed manufacturing BOMs for procurement and production. 3. Cost Analysis: 1. Conduct cost analysis and ensure equipment is properly costed for MV Control Relay Panels, EHV Control Relay Panels, and HT VCB Panels. 4. Technical Support: 1. Provide technical support to the sales team and customers regarding product specifications and design inquiries. 5. Collaboration: 1. Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless project execution. ________________________________________ Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Proven experience in electrical design and estimation, specifically for HT VCB Panels and EHV & MV Control Relay Panels. Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and schematics. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Required Qualifications & Skills Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical panel design and estimation. Technical Expertise - Deep knowledge of Schemes for LT MCC/PCC/APFC/PLC, Drives & Automation Panel systems and HT VCB Panels (up to 11kV/33kV. - Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN Pro Panel. - Familiarity with electrical study software such as ETAP or SIMARIS Design is an advantage. - Higher level of Proficiency in Protection Systems - Knowledge of incorporating Relay software in the Relay inside the panels. - Good Knowledge of all kind of Scheme & Wiring diagrams, whether related to Control Relay Panel, our higher end VCB Panels (For Ex: - Generator Protection, Transformer Differential Scheme, Line cum Transformer Protection, Busbar Protection) - Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and professional communication for vendor and client negotiations
