About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QS MEP professional with expertise in HVAC and commercial construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for quantity estimation, cost management, billing, subcontractor management, and ensuring project costs are controlled throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for MEP services, with a strong focus on HVAC systems.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify project requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project cost reports.
- Verify contractor and subcontractor bills and certify payments.
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Handle variation orders, rate analysis, and claim management.
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and vendors for quantity verification and commercial matters.
- Track material consumption and reconcile quantities.
- Support procurement activities by preparing quantity schedules and tender documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and MEP services.
- Expertise in quantity surveying, estimation, and billing.
- Experience in commercial building projects.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and cost control.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
