Job Summary:
Podium Systems is looking for a skilled Design Engineer with hands-on experience in mechanical design and drafting. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in manufacturing processes and proficiency in industry-standard CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and modify 2D and 3D design drawings
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings with GD&T standards
- Work on limit fits and tolerance stack-ups
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams for design feasibility
- Apply knowledge of welding, sheet metal, and machining processes
- Maintain design data and documentation using PLM tools
Required Qualifications:
- B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in design engineering
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Understanding of limits, fits, and tolerances
- Experience in sheet metal, welding, and machining processes
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as CATIA / NX / Solid Edge / AutoCAD
- Familiarity with MS Office and Teamcenter
