Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer / SQL & Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, ETL/ELT development, and the Microsoft Power Platform. This role involves building scalable data pipelines, optimizing database performance, developing analytics solutions, and supporting business intelligence initiatives while ensuring data quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.
- Manage database security, user roles, permissions, backup, restore, and disaster recovery.
- Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Power Query, and DAX.
- Automate business processes using Power Automate and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Build and manage Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines.
- Develop solutions using Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Notebooks, Spark, Dataflows Gen2, and Semantic Models.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Microsoft Fabric workloads and pipeline executions.
- Migrate legacy data warehouse and Power BI solutions to the Microsoft Fabric platform.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, data quality checks, and ensure SLA compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable analytics solutions.
- Provide technical support and resolve production issues related to databases, ETL pipelines, and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong experience managing Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Expertise in:
- SQL Server installation, configuration, and upgrades
- Performance tuning and query optimization
- Database security and administration
- Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshooting database issues
- Advanced proficiency in T-SQL, including stored procedures, functions, views, and performance tuning.
Extensive Experience with:
- Power BI
- Power Query
- DAX
- Power Automate
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Strong experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT data integration pipeines
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including:
- Data Factory Pipelines
- Lakehouse
- Warehouse
- OneLake
- Fabric Notebooks
- Apache Spark
- Dataflows Gen2
- Semantic Models
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting Fabric workloads.
- Experience migrating traditional BI and data warehouse solutions to Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of data validation, data quality, reconciliation, and SLA management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP BW Data Warehousing, including Process Chain development and administration.
- Strong understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience integrating SAP data with Microsoft Fabric using Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, or enterprise integration tools.
- Knowledge of Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and Lakehouse Architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and governance within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.
Familiarity with Azure technologies including:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Storage
- Microsoft Entra ID
Preferred Experience
- 8+ years of experience in SQL Server, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or Analytics.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions.
