Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Stores to support day-to-day store and inventory operations. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining stock records, handling receipt and issue of materials, updating transactions in ERP software, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The role requires knowledge of storekeeping procedures, material handling, and ERP-based inventory systems to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, verify, and organize incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Update material receipts, issues, transfers, and stock movements in the ERP system and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Issue materials to departments and ensure proper documentation of stock transactions.
- Monitor stock levels and assist in stock verification, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of materials to prevent loss or damage.
- Generate and maintain inventory reports, stock registers, and related store documentation.
- Coordinate with purchase, accounts, vendors, and user departments for smooth store operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the store area.
- Perform other stores and inventory-related duties assigned by the Stores In-charge or Management.
Desired Candidate Qualification
- Qualification any Degree is preferable.
- 1–3 years of experience in stores, inventory management, warehouse operations, or related activities.
- Working knowledge of ERP software and inventory management systems.
- Basic knowledge of materials, stock control, storekeeping procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Good organizational, coordination, and record-keeping skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Experience in educational institutions, warehouses, manufacturing units, or similar environments will be an added advantage.
